What is biophilic and regenerative art?
Biophilic art and regenerative art are two distinct but interconnected concepts. Biophilic art fosters a connection to nature, promoting calm and well-being through incorporating natural elements into artwork. Regenerative art places a stronger emphasis on actively contributing to ecological health and restoration.
Do you make the items that are for sale?
Yes, all items are independently handmade. I hand-forage or source wild-harvested materials locally, depending on the specific natural materials needed. I also independently design and assemble materials into creations from start to finish.
How do you source materials sustainably?
You can find out more in the 'ETHOS' tab.
What techniques do you use to create items?
A variety of techniques are used to make artworks and in crafting items, most of which are rooted in the ecological sciences or linked to heritage crafting techniques:
• Soil chromatography
• Spore printing
• Cyanotype printing
• Species identification & recording
• Natural material preservation, botanical pressing & drying
• Pigment making & natural dying
• Woodworking
• Photography
How do you price available items?
Item prices vary depending on how rare the materials are. For example, mushrooms shelves and magnets vary in price based on shape, colour and size. Some characteristics are rarer to find than others. Natural imperfections in how the mushrooms have grown are also accounted for. For art prints and rewilded textiles, prices vary depending on printing costs and materials used e.g. fabrics or natural chemicals used in scientific processes.
How do I care for my product?
Instructions for caring for your item, where necessary, are available in the item description. All items currently available can be found within the 'SHOP HANDMADE'. If you have any other questions please get in touch at [email protected] and you will receive a response within 48 hours (Monday - Friday).
Do you offer custom pieces or commissions?
It may be possible to meet requests for certain sizes of items, e.g. larger mushroom shelves or print sizes for example. For any requests please email [email protected].
What is your shipping & returns policy?
Please see the 'SHIPPING INFO' tab for more information, including local pickup, delivery, returns/refunds and cancellation information.
Do you have more items available at pop-up markets than what is listed online?
Yes, for some items. I often have a wider variety of home accent items available at my markets than what is listed on the website. Rewilded Textile items are currently website exclusive. Drop an email to [email protected] if you are interested in a particular item and need more information.
